I like to take pictures, here's some of those pictures.
Fun fact, I actually studied photography at Humber College from 1999 to 2001, the last year the program offered film studies. In the early 2000s I worked a lot as a product photographer and as an art director on advertising photo shoots, shooting everything from cars to barbecues.
Nowadays I just shoot for fun. I like serene, near symmetry scenes with a sense of irony. I like film cameras the best, love medium format and vintage 35mm point and shoot cameras.
This is the personal website of Toronto based Creative Director Matt Medley.
I studied film photography at Humber College and have worked as a tech entrepreneur creating a few apps and social networking websites over the years. I was also a DJ for 12 years performing at nightclubs across North America and cultivating Toronto's club scene throughout the 2000s.
Nowadays I work as an Associate Creative Director of UI Design at one of "the big three" advertising agencies. Outside the office, I spend most of my time in a music studio toiling away on my debut album which I'm hoping to release fall 2020. This website is a place to showcase my experiments in music, art, photography, design, animation and illustration. This is not where I showcase my commercial/agency work which occupies 99.9% of my time these days.
I love analog equipment, film cameras, analogue synthesizers, and playing the piano. I also have an obsession with computers and technology.
