Cavallo, meaning horse in Italian, draws on centuries of cultural symbolism — from strength and agility to nobility and freedom. But its identity is sharpened by a more unexpected reference: the knight in chess. It’s the only piece that moves off-axis, making calculated, creative leaps — a symbol of thinking differently and breaking convention.

The logo channels this duality: a stylised stallion head rendered in flowing, tribal-inspired linework, echoing both ancient artistry and strategic power. The design nods subtly to the chess knight’s silhouette, bringing logic and lore into harmony.

The visual system pairs that bold iconography with a minimalist, modern palette — chalky earth tones, serif typography, and restrained layout — creating a brand that feels both grounded in craft tradition and confidently contemporary.

Cavallo is brewed for those who move deliberately, think tactically, and lead with instinct.

From can design to logo lockup, Cavallo’s branding was developed to feel as at home in boutique bottle shops as it would in a blacksmith’s tavern. This was a study in tactile branding for modern beer lovers with ancient souls.
