Kaffi Nordic Roasters branding concept design

Kaffi Nordic Roasters Branding & Packaging

Est. 1980 – A legacy brewed in the north.

KAFFI is a conceptual Nordic coffee brand rooted in tradition, wilderness, and warmth. The name “Kaffi” is a nod to the Icelandic word for coffee, grounding the brand in a place known for its stark landscapes, rich mythologies, and minimalist sensibilities.

The logo features two distinctive illustrations—a majestic stag and a mythic ram—used across product variants. These creatures are inspired by Nordic folklore and forest iconography, evoking a sense of quiet strength and primal elegance. Their bold, high-contrast forms are paired with hand-weathered textures and earthy colours, reinforcing the brand’s rugged, artisanal vibe.

The type treatment is stencilled and stamped—equal parts utilitarian and expressive—echoing old-world packaging and field equipment. Combined with the vivid orange packaging, the visual system walks the line between modern specialty coffee and a timeless field journal. Whether on a bag, mug, or takeaway cup, KAFFI feels grounded, tactile, and quietly wild.

This was a full identity and packaging design exploration, capturing how a heritage-inspired Nordic brand might distinguish itself in the crowded third-wave coffee market.
