Visual Identity, Packaging, and Merchandise Design
This branding concept was developed for Black Rabbit, a specialty coffee brand emphasizing bold flavour profiles and small-batch origins. The objective was to create a visual identity that felt confident, modern, and memorable while reflecting the artisanal nature of the product.
The logo combines a hand-rendered illustration of a rabbit with strong, geometric typography to balance approachability with structure. The simplified rabbit mark evokes curiosity and speed, symbolizing both the name and the energetic quality of the product.
The monochrome palette enhances brand recognition and shelf visibility, while also serving as a versatile base for seasonal or origin-based colour extensions. The typeface was chosen for its boldness and legibility at a range of sizes, ensuring clarity across applications from coffee bags to merchandise.
Each packaging touchpoint—from the matte-finish coffee bag to the minimal ceramic mug to the glass bottle cold brew—was designed to create a unified brand experience. Clean layouts and selective use of texture support a tactile, premium feel without overwhelming the core product story.
This concept showcases a scalable brand system that can easily extend across retail, digital, and lifestyle platforms, with a distinct personality rooted in quality and craft.
